The setting
The course was delivered for veterinary professionals in Aberdeen. The emphasis was on building confidence to notice when someone may need support, begin a useful conversation and understand the boundaries of the Mental Health First Aider role.
Making the training relevant
The core SMHFA programme remains consistent, but discussion can still connect the learning to the situations participants recognise from their own working lives.
